When it comes to sheer flower power, no other plants measure up to the prolific blooming of annuals. They are fast-growing and add almost instant color to your landscape.  You can use them like a painter's palette to create color in a garden wherever it is needed. Many annuals bloom practically nonstop from late spring or early summer until fall's first frost. 

Things to keep in mind when planning your flower beds:

2. Soil quality
3. Heat tolerance
4. Bloom pattern/timing
5. Color/theme
